XBOX360 wireless receiver set to the left STUCK?

Do you have other USB compatible devices connected to the computer as a mighty mouse or keyboard or something else in this category. If so, try disconnecting everything and connecting the receiver and should work well. If not, try another USB port. I hope I have helped.
